Ticketmaster cyber attack ‘sees hackers steal details of 560 million customers’

Hackers, believed to be from the group ShinyHunters, have reportedly stolen the personal details of 560 million Ticketmaster customers. The attackers are demanding a ransom of about £400,000 to stop selling the data on the dark web. Ticketmaster and parent company Live Nation are communicating with authorities. The CEO of UK cybersecurity firm, Bridewell, warned of the increasing threat of large-scale cyber attacks and urged companies to prioritise data protection.
