Tor Network Removes Risky Relays Associated With Cryptocurrency Scheme

The Tor Project, an anonymity network, has removed many relays associated with a for-profit scheme involving cryptocurrency payments, citing them as a risk to the network’s integrity. The scheme, suspected to be ATOR, rewards relay operators with ATOR cryptocurrency. Following the decision, the value of ATOR dropped below $1 and ATOR said it plans to create its own routing network.
