Tories back out of meeting on human rights breaches

The UK government is being investigated by the UN for the second time, pertaining to its treatment of disabled and chronically ill individuals. In 2016, the UN declared the government guilty of breaches in human rights. However, despite being asked to attend a meeting to discuss the steps taken since the previous investigation, the Tory administration has declined. The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) is now set to investigate anew.
