Truist Bank confirms data breach after stolen data appears online
The Sp1d3r cybercrime group has reportedly stolen sensitive data about 65,000 employees from major US bank, Truist, and is allegedly selling it for $1 million. The breach supposedly occurred in October 2023 but has only recently been confirmed by Truist. The stolen data includes bank transactions, account numbers, and balances. The cybercrime group has previously sold sensitive data relating to other major companies.
