Two 16-year-old boys among 18 arrested for roles in Android malware scams in latest police raids
26 individuals, including two teenagers, have been arrested in relation to a series of malware scams compromising Android devices for unauthorised transactions. Singapore police revealed some of the individuals had provided their bank details or Singpass credentials to facilitate the scams. Violations concerning criminal benefit acquisition, cheating, computer misuse, and Singpass credential disclosure carry heavy penalties of fines and imprisonment terms. Investigations are ongoing.
