Two ransomware attacks in 2023 first disclosed in April – Kisco Senior Living, Blackstone Valley Community Health Care

Two 2023 ransomware attacks were disclosed this week, with one incident involving Kisco Senior Living and the other involving Blackstone Valley Community Health Care. Personal data of over 26,000 Kisco residents and 34,000 Blackstone patients was breached but there is a lack of transparency about what happened to the data and if affected individuals were informed about the breach. The hackers claimed responsibility for both attacks and threatened to sell the stolen data.
