Two Weston-super-Mare GP practices rated inadequate by watchdog

Two GP practices in Weston-super-Mare, the Graham Road Surgery and Horizon Health Care, have been declared inadequate by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and placed into special measures. The CQC noted that staff lacked access to crucial information to ensure safe care and processes for safeguarding patients, leading to patients not receiving prescribed medications as per national guidelines and failing infection prevention systems. A CQC spokesperson said continued assistance would be provided for the necessary improvements.
