U of M, along with manufacturers, launches Center for Medical Device Cybersecurity

The University of Minnesota is launching a new Center for Medical Device Cybersecurity in collaboration with major device manufacturers. The center aims to enhance device security, protect patient information, and address potential cybersecurity threats through research, technologies, education, and training. Industry representatives will be actively recruited, and the center will host roundtables, hackathons, and networking opportunities. Endpoint protection must be paired with network monitoring and anomaly detection. The center will contribute to innovation and discovery in the medical device industry.
