A team of cybersecurity researchers has found critical vulnerabilities in UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface), which allow hackers to execute malicious code, bypass security measures, and establish control over the system. Dubbed “LogoFAIL”, these flaws are present in the image parsing libraries in the system firmware during device boot, exposing numerous vendors and ecosystems to potential threats. These vulnerabilities can lead to unauthorized access, data theft, and system integrity compromise.
