UHS says recovery process complete for corporate data centers after cyberattack
Healthcare provider Universal Health Services (UHS) is still recovering from an IT security issue that led to a network shutdown across its US facilities. The company, which stated that no patient or employee data has been accessed, has blamed the incident on malware, with outlets suggesting it was the Ryuk ransomware. Nurses at UHS facilities said they had issues with an online medication system, and a CNN report claimed that a cardiologist had to cancel surgeries as a result.
