UK consumers wary of AI in NHS data storage

A survey of 2,000 UK consumers by VMware found that 87% believe NHS patient data should remain in the UK to ensure compliance with local privacy regulations and prevent foreign cyber threats. Despite many being against using AI to analyse their data, confidence in the NHS remains high, with 59% trusting it to keep their data secure. While many NHS and social care providers use international public clouds, reports suggest cloud sovereignty could help healthcare data analysis.
