UK gov admits Track and Trace scheme ‘breaches GDPR’

The UK Government’s NHS Track and Trace programme has been operating unlawfully since it was launched, according to government legal correspondence. It was launched without a full data protection impact assessment (DPIA), thus breaching GDPR regulations. Activists are concerned that data breaches may have already occurred. Meanwhile, the Information Commissioner’s Office is currently working on a completed DPIA.
