UK MOD contractor breach exposes military personnel bank details

The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) is investigating a cyber attack on a contractor which may have exposed the bank details of military personnel and veterans. Chinese state-backed hackers are believed to be behind the breach, which targeted the payroll systems of the contractor. While no data is yet believed to have been stolen, this has not been ruled out, and the MOD is monitoring online activity for signs of leaked information.
