UK NHS suffers outage after cyberattack on managed service provider

The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) 111 emergency services have been disrupted by a cyberattack on managed service provider Advanced’s systems. The attack caused a significant outage on the Adastra client patient management solution used by 85% of NHS 111 services. The public has been advised to use the online platform for emergency services until the issue is resolved. Advanced COO Simon Short confirmed the cyberattack was detected on Thursday morning.
