UK public increasingly concerned over NHS data sovereignty

Despite a spate of cyber incidents involving data theft or leaks from NHS bodies, 59% respondents in a VMware survey still trust the service to secure their personal medical data. The study also found the majority of respondents favour storing data in the UK and against using AI to analyse that data. However, 45% are agreeable to using AI to enhance NHS services and 44% endorsed AI use to hasten diagnoses.
