UK wasting ‘tens of billions’ on crumbling infrastructure and badly run projects | Public services policy

The UK Government is wasting billions of pounds on poorly managed projects, outdated IT systems, and insufficiently maintained infrastructure, warns Gareth Davies, head of the National Audit Office (NAO). In his annual speech, Davies will advocate for improved upkeep, modern IT and a new approach to significant projects, including HS2, suggesting such measures could produce significant savings and improve public services.
