UK wasting ‘tens of billions’ on crumbling infrastructure and badly run projects | Public services policy

Britain wastes billions on poorly managed projects and outdated infrastructure and IT, says National Audit Office (NAO) head Gareth Davies. In his annual speech, Davies will advocate for smarter government and highlight areas where savings could be made, such as infrastructure, asset management, procurement, IT systems, and reducing fraud and error. He will call for better project oversight, maintenance discipline, and improved procurement practices while urging the replacement of antiquated IT systems.
