University Hospital Southampton introduces instant alert app for flu

University Hospital Southampton is now able to receive instant alerts if a patient has tested positive for flu and which strain they have, after creating an artificial intelligence bot. The bot uses the Medxnote messaging app to send flu alerts, which detail the results and aid staff in promptly isolating and managing patients to limit the spread of the infection.
