Unmasking data thieves, their motivation and dark marketplace

India has recently experienced an increase in cybersecurity incidents, with personal data breaches occurring in various sectors. In October, cybersecurity firm Resecurity discovered that the personal data of 815 million Indian citizens was being sold on the dark web. The alleged source of the data was the Indian Council of Medical Research, which has been subjected to significant cyber attacks. The Indian government is actively working to strengthen its cybersecurity infrastructure.
