Update on Cullman County Revenue Office malware attack

The Cullman County Revenue Office in Alabama suffered a malware attack during the Christmas weekend, disrupting its online payment portal. As a courtesy to those impacted by the outage, the grace period to pay property taxes, vehicle registrations and other fees has been extended to January 8. Although payment services have been fully restored, the source of the cyberattack remains unknown. The county is working hard to prevent similar incidents in the future.
