UpDoc to develop conversational, assistant-directed AI providers
UpDoc’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based remote patient management platform, validated at Stanford Medicine, shows promise in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes. In a trial, 81% of AI-managed patients achieved glycemic control, compared to 25% in traditional care. The AI also led to better medication adherence and more prescription changes with fewer doctor visits. The technology is supervised by physicians and clinical pharmacists and utilises multiple language models like Microsoft’s Azure Open AI Service and Google Cloud’s MedLM and Vertex AI models.
