The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning about cybersecurity vulnerabilities known as URGENT/11. These vulnerabilities could pose safety risks for connected medical devices and hospital networks. They affect at least six different operating systems and could allow remote users to take control of a medical device and cause issues such as denial of service or information leaks. The FDA is urging healthcare organizations, IT professionals, device manufacturers, and patients to take precautions and address these vulnerabilities.
