Urology Austin, a healthcare provider based in Texas, has notified 279,633 patients that their records may have been exposed in a ransomware attack. The attackers were able to encrypt the data stored on the servers, but the organization did not pay the ransom and restored the information from backups. Urology Austin is investigating the incident and enhancing security measures. Affected patients will receive one year of free credit monitoring.
