US dental provider suffers data breach with 9m affected

Ransomware gang, LockBit, has claimed responsibility for a data breach that affected nearly nine million customers of Managed Care of North America (MCNA) Dental, one of the largest dental care and oral health insurance providers in the US. The cybercriminals reportedly stole 700GB of sensitive data, including personal and health insurance details. LockBit demanded a $10m ransom and released the data on its website when the ransom was not paid.
