US senators introduce Healthcare Cybersecurity Act to boost sector’s defenses against cyberattacks

Senator Jacky Rosen, Senator Todd Young, and Senator Angus King have introduced the Healthcare Cybersecurity Act in the US. The bipartisan bill aims to improve cybersecurity in healthcare and public health through collaboration between the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the Department of Health and Human Services. The Act intends to provide resources related to cyber threats and defensive measures to non-federal entities, and to establish a special liaison within the CISA to coordinate and support during cybersecurity incidents.
