US warns of cyberattacks by Russia on anniversary of Ukraine war

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has warned of possible cyberattacks on the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The advisory comes after a cyberattack on several Ukrainian government websites. The attacks, attributed to the Russia-aligned Ember Bear group, were reportedly conducted via a backdoor planted in December 2021. Although the attack did not cause significant system interruptions, CISA urged organizations to increase cybersecurity vigilance.
