Government websites in India have been redirecting users to pornography sites due to malware on the systems at government offices, according to an initial investigation. This likely occurred due to a lack of cyber hygiene and potentially intentional or accidental downloads of malware after logging into unauthorized sites. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) was brought in to assist and found that Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks were used against the sites.
