Verizon expands security offerings for EHRs, HIEs, eRx

Verizon has announced a suite of new features for its healthcare identity services, in a bid to help healthcare organisations combat identity theft and enable secure access to digitised health information. Officials say the enhancements will help providers transform care delivery, enhance access to care and better manage costs. The updated package will also allow providers to use their smartphones and tablets to authenticate their identity to gain access to these new capabilities.
