Vietnam’s hospitals are in the early stages of digitalization, with public hospitals focusing on improving operational efficiency and medical outcomes, while private hospitals are making a digital push to enhance their value proposition. Public hospitals have implemented hospital information systems, but adoption rates for systems like PACS-RIS and LIS are low. Private hospitals, driven by higher-income patients and competition from foreign hospitals, have more advanced digital systems. However, challenges in terms of limited digital capabilities, administrative processes, and system integration hinder further digital adoption.
