Patient and staff data from Waikato District Health Board in New Zealand has reportedly appeared on the dark web, six weeks after a ransomware attack. The hospital group refused to pay the ransom, which may have led to the release of the sensitive information. This is the second time that data from Waikato DHB has been leaked, and the Privacy Commissioner has called for individuals affected to be notified and supported. The hospital group is still working on fully restoring its services following the cyber incident.
