The UK Financial Conduct Authority is investigating a Bank of England (BoE) security breach that allowed hedge funds to access an audio feed of bank officials’ press conferences before the rest of the market could see them, raising questions about whether funds profited. Threadneedle Street, the BoE’s London location, confirmed the provider of its backup audio feed was misused by a third supplier, without the bank’s consent.
