WatchGuard Threat Lab Report Finds Endpoint Malware Volumes Decreasing Despite Campaigns Growing More Expansive
WatchGuard Technologies’ Q2 2023 Internet Security Report highlights that 95% of malware is delivered over encrypted connections, ransomware detections are on the decline, but double-extortion attacks are rising, and older software vulnerabilities are still popular targets. Despite a decrease in overall endpoint malware volumes, widespread campaigns are increasing and threat actors are increasingly utilizing Windows tools to deliver malware. The report also noted an increase in detections of compromised installer and Glupteba attacks.
