Wellforce to migrate its Epic infrastructure to AWS cloud

Massachusetts health system Wellforce is moving its entire digital healthcare ecosystem, including its Epic infrastructure and over 300 supporting applications, to a cloud-based platform hosted by Amazon Web Services. The migration aims to improve provider and patient experiences, enhance data extraction and analytics, and enable the incorporation of patient-generated data. Wellforce expects to save up to $3 million annually through the cloud-based modernization. The move will make Wellforce the largest organization to run its entire Epic infrastructure on the cloud. The transition is set to be completed by spring 2022.
