What can be learned from cyber security risks during the pandemic

Cyber security in the NHS is critical as major ransomware attacks can disrupt patient care. Following the large-scale WannaCry attack in 2017, NHS England implemented the Cyber Security Programme to enhance security measures. Recently, Ireland’s Health Service Executive was similarly targeted, and the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre found over 200 out of 723 incidents were related to Covid-19, emphasizing the ongoing threats.
