siteadmin October 4, 2023

Crypto-malware is malicious software that exploits users’ computing resources to mine cryptocurrency, draining significant resources from their devices. The malware continuously mines for cryptocurrency using the victim’s device. To mitigate the threat, users should exhibit responsible online behaviour such as not clicking on unsolicited links, using HTTPS websites, and employing cybersecurity software and two-way authentication. Organisations must be extra vigilant, integrate machine learning and anomaly detection algorithms to spot attacks, and educate employees on risks and indicators of attacks.
