Who are Qilin? Inside the Russian ransomware gang which paralysed NHS hospitals in London

Cybersecurity firms have warned about the activities of ransomware gang Qilin. Qilin’s affiliates can reportedly take 80% of any extorted money, encouraging them to target lucrative victims. The gang, one of the biggest of its kind, uses a Ransomware-as-a-Service platform and data leak site on the dark web. Notably, Qilin’s activities have surged since winter with increased attacks on hospitals, healthcare organisations and the public sector.
