Who’s Minding the Store? Why Operational Technology Security Has Become a Top Priority for Federal Security Leaders

Federal agencies, defense departments, and service branches have placed increasing emphasis on Operational Technology (OT) security due to growing cyber threat landscape. A recent study revealed that in the last year, 68% experienced an OT security incident, yet only 20% highly rated their preparedness. Significant steps are being taken to enhance security, including increased IT/OT coordination, standardized risk models, continuous assessments, and staff upskilling.
