Why Southcoast Health puts ESG front and center in recruiting

Lauren De Simon Johnson, chief human resources officer of Southcoast Health, discussed the use of AI in the hiring process and workplace culture in an interview with Becker’s. She disapproved using AI for resume building but saw its potential for automating manual processes. Johnson emphasised the importance of accurate job descriptions, and a positive organisational culture that values diversity, inclusion, and an environment of belonging. Additionally, she addressed the importance of good leadership and the role of ESG in attracting younger generations to an organisation.
