Communication is the key tool in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR), according to Dr Susan Jain, Principal Advisor and COVID-19 Response Lead at the Clinical Excellence Commission. She emphasises the usefulness of regular communication with healthcare workers, and maintaining accurate, easy to understand clinical guidelines. Furthermore, she stresses the necessity of global efforts, robust infection control measures, access to diagnostics and treatment, surveillance, and considerable investment in research and development.
