With Epic, GeneDx aims to broaden the potential of rapid whole genome sequencing

GeneDx is partnering with Epic to improve access to its swift whole genome sequencing services. The collaboration, which is focused on neonatal intensive care units, will see GeneDx integrate with Epic’s electronic health record, offering health systems a direct connection. By facilitating access to full genome and exome testing, clinicians will benefit from more straightforward order processing and result receipt. Patients will also see rWGS data more seamlessly incorporated into their longitudinal records.
