Women Political Leaders Summit targeted in RomCom malware phishing

A new lightweight version of RomCom malware aimed at participants of the Women Political Leaders Summit in Brussels has been identified by cybersecurity firm, Trend Micro. The hackers, known as Void Rabisu, set up a fake website imitating the official summit’s site, embedding the malware within files disguised as pictures from the event. This version contains new features and changes to make detection harder, signalling a shift by the group towards high-level cyber espionage.
