WVU awarded grant to establish cybersecurity training center

West Virginia University has been awarded a $750,000 grant by the U.S. Department of Education for the construction of a cybersecurity range for research into cyberattacks. The grant will pay for hardware and software to create a learning environment to develop defenses against cyber threats. The grant comes as an Iranian-backed group was able to access a Pennsylvania water utility, causing no reported damage.
