Wye Valley NHS Trust broke rules on mixed-sex wards

There has been a rise in NHS breaches of mixed-sex accommodation rules amid higher demand, with hospitals placing patients in unsuitable wards due to a lack of space. Fines for these breaches are decided by individual Clinical Commissioning Groups.
