Xenomorph Android Malware Targets Customers of 30 US Banks
The Android banking Trojan Xenomorph targeted customers of over two dozen US banks, including Chase, Amex, Ally, Citi Mobile, Citizens Bank, Bank of America, and Discover Mobile. Cybersecurity vendor ThreatFabric noted the malware also targeted crypto wallets like Bitcoin, Binance, and Coinbase. Significant interest was seen for Samsung and Xiaomi device users, who hold around 50% of Android’s market share. Threats to Android users are increasing, with Xenomorph and other banking Trojans posing significant danger.
